Blessed
Could you have guessed how blessed your lives would be
Two decades past when Lexi joined your clan?
At first, she cried, her tears streamed frequently.
Oh what a raucous start as life began!
But then the tears did cease and words did flow.
Though two, she talked as though she were a teen.
Relationships with cousins, then, did grow
As fashion, art, and song filled her routine.
She emulated Christ in charity,
As Lexi focused on her fellow man.
Her attributes oh such a rarity,
So valiantly fulfilling Father’s plan.
Now Lexi is continuing to serve,
Gone forth to spread the Gospel true abroad,
Her journey ever upward to observe,
As parents great your fruits we do applaud.
