Zion
In ancient days, before the flood, there lived a man of God.
Though wickedness was everywhere, he held firm to the rod.
Now, Enoch was this holy man. He testified of Christ.
He preached the Gospel to his peers, that they might see the light.
But many men rejected him and cast him from their face.
They only loved themselves and sin and mocked the Savior's grace.
However, there were still a few, who chose the better way.
They longed to see salvation come, and usher in Christ's day.
And so he took this group of Saints, to live apart from man.
And unto them, the righteous came, from far across the land.
It was a refuge from the storms, directed from above.
Together they shared everything and lived in perfect love.
Zion, did Jehovah name them, a city of pure peace.
They had no poor within their ranks, and wickedness had ceased.
Because of their perfected state, God took them all away.
And deemed they would return again, before His dreadful day.
