This poem is a tribute to Joseph Smith and his devotion to the Restoration. Thank you, Joseph!

Tribute

I'm grateful that you listened to your heart,
When all around a war of words ensued.
You studied and you asked, to do your part
In wisdom went to God though but a youth.

I'm grateful you saw Father and His Son.
Your whole life you stayed true to this grand scene.
Through you again the Lord's work could be done.
A champion you were of our great King.

I'm grateful for this work you gave your all
Through countless days of suffering and strife.
Courageously you answered our Lord's call.
And in the end, bore witness with your life.

I'm grateful for all truths you did restore
Illuminating mankind once again.
I hope we meet when I have left this shore
And I'll be able then to call you friend.
