A Hymn of Thanksgiving

A Hymn of Thanksgiving

On this, this day of gratitude, I thank thee, God above,
For blessings bountiful from thee, bestowed on me with love.
I'm grateful for thee, Father dear, and for dear Mother too.
Thou formed me from intelligence, my station to improve.
I'm grateful for thy noble plan, to help me be like thee,
And for thy Son, my brother dear, who gave His all for me.
I'm grateful for this earth so vast, a place that I might learn,
And for the precious Holy Ghost, that I might here discern.
I'm grateful for my family, that I walk not alone,
That we might help each other here, return unto thy throne.
I'm grateful for my liberties, here in this promised land,
Where gospel truths could be restored, that I might understand.
I'm grateful for eternity, to know that life won't end,
That I might grow forevermore, unto thy heights ascend.
Oh please help me now, Father dear, help me to not forget,
That all I have doth come from thee, I'm ever in thy debt.
Though I can never repay thee, may all my actions show,
I recognize thou art the source, from thee all blessings flow.
