That Day
I cannot wait until that day, I meet Him face to face
Released from pain - temptation too, found in this mortal place
I long to feel His warm embrace, encircled by His love
Rejoice with Him, in Father's courts, in holy realms above
I long to look into His eyes, full of concern for me
From which He shed His precious tears, there in Gethsemane
I hope when I shall meet Him then, somehow I can convey
My gratitude for all He's done, that words don't simply say
For now, I'll strive to honor Him, His selfless sacrifice
And follow His example sure, into eternal life
