Awake, Arise

Here's a poem I've written, reminding me that I am much more than I can see. I have a Heavenly Father and Savior who see me perfectly, as I truly am, knowing who I am and all I am capable of accomplishing with their divine help and intervention. They wish for me to see myself with a vision of who I may become. As I embrace my divine heritage and see myself as a child of God, I can remember who I am, helping propel me to fulfill my eternal destiny. I hope my poem will help you to see yourself for who you truly are, and look beyond challenges and pain you may be enduring and experiencing, to an eternal existence filled with everlasting peace and joy.

Awake, Arise

Awake, arise, cast off the cloak, that blinds your mortal eyes
That clouds your golden destiny, far off in distant skies
The lens by which you view your days, doth render gray and white
While realms of color glorious shall be your future life

Cast off the cloak that blinds your eyes, and blurs your proper worth
Dispensing doubt and fueling fears, of nothingness on earth
Heed not illusions smothering, that douse your inner flame
Awake, arise triumphantly, embrace your royal claim

A glory you cannot behold, nor truly understand
Doth beckon as your destiny, a future rich and grand
Oh welcome your inheritance, embrace your noble soul
And see beyond your common days, toward your greater goal

The day shall come when you shall see, precisely who you are
And you shall know with clarity, you've come so very far
Your eyes that see, shall fill with tears, as Christ you doth embrace,
And recognize your countenance, reflects His perfect face.
