A Light and Hope

A Light and Hope

Oh Covid, when shall we bid you farewell,
As all around you've forced us to glimpse hell?
How many more will you yet steal this year
That their loved ones might drown in bitter tears?
It matters not - for we have such a friend
And He shall bring your reign here to an end.
So carry on and claim souls while you can.
You're only helping to fulfill His plan.
The serpent who came first thought he had won.
He underestimated Christ The Son.
Though you may bring great pain and searing strife,
The Savior yet shall resurrect all life.
He shall descend to wipe away all tears,
And reign upon an earth devoid of fears.
The pain felt now as deep as darkest night,
Shall be extinguished by the Son, so bright.
Oh may hope yet find purchase in our soul,
And recognize with Him we shall be whole.
