A Future Bright

A Future Bright

On March 1, 1997, Gordon B. Hinckley told a group:

“It isn’t as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don’t worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. If you do your best, it will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us . . . If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

Based on his words, we were inspired to pen the poem below. We feel blessed and encouraged to know that as we strive to do our best, God will support us in our efforts. With Him at our side, our future is indeed bright.

 A Future Bright

Don’t nag yourself and think that you have failed
Just go and do the very best you can
Though sometimes you may feel your life’s derailed
Know this your best is all that God demands
Life never is as bad as it might seem
Press on and all will work out in the end
Your Father holds in store blessings unseen
Have faith though you may not yet comprehend
If you will put your faith in Father dear
If you will go to Him in humble prayer
He will not leave your side, you need not fear
With Him your future’s bright, so don’t despair
